Weather Delays

If you have a series of freak snowstorms, can they still be considered "freak"? The normal rainy West-Coast Christmas weather has been replaced by 85 cm of snow. Although diving beneath a frozen lake is on my list of expeditions, the roads are so bad I can't get to the lake. So, Divebot Adventures are on hiatus until the weather begins to resemble normal again.

Not an auspicious start to this endevour, but it has given me a chance to continue testing the equipment.

Introducing the Divebot Project, and Divebot-1

Welcome to the Divebot Project. The intention of this project is to use Divebot-1, the ROV that my sons and I have built, to explore as many interesting locations as possible, starting with locations close to our home on Vancouver Island, Canada. We intend to publish video of these adventures to this blog. We also intend to construct further ROVs, and publish video of our progress here as well.

We are planning our first divebot adventure at Thetis Lake, in Victoria, BC, sometime before Christmas, weather permitting. We look forward to posting the video of our first adventure soon after.
